Disengagement on Track; Extraterrestrial Moment

(Maj.-Gen. Dr. Arik "The Bulldozer" Sharon)
Good news from Eretz Tzion today: Memshalah's vote on the Disengagement will be held sooner than planned!! We have our Praklit HaMedinah to thank for that. Mr. Mofaz, the Defense Minister, is also doing his best to ensure the Disengagement passes off without a hitch. The writing is on the wall: little by little Israel is doing what we should have done several years ago. We have our land, we have our state, our hope of two thousand years is come true--barukh haShem. Our enemies are vanquished. We can withdraw to the borders which the world has recognized as ours and live in peace and security. And if they dare attack us then, we will have every right in the world to respond ferociously. So kol hakavod v'b'hatzlachah to Arik: all true Zionists are behind you!
And now something completely other-worldly. I had my TV on and would glance at it on occasions. They were showing a report from Sri Lanka and this US soldier came on. He was participating in food distribution. And I heard him say, together with the accent, the following: "Last year I was in Ayraq dropping bombs for Ayraqi freedom and now I'm here [in Thailand distributing aid]. Our humanitarian missions never end." I couldn't believe my ears and waited for the report to be shown again in later news. It was, and I HAD heard it correctly. Surreal. Words fail me...
And for the end, here's a song from Slovenia which I heard earlier today--and enjoyed--and thought I'd let you savor it, too. It's a mixture of things: pop, Alpine and what they call turbo folk.
(It's about 3.5 MB so all you schnooks still using dialup: sorreeeeeeeee The embedding DOES work so if you can't hear it, (a) be patient as it takes a while to load, (b) check your firewall settings and/or (c) get MS Internet Explorer as I'm not certain if it operates on "alternative" dreck. And the rest of you, in case you wonder, yes, that IS a rooster. )
Take care, y'all.
