Just a short entry whose purpose is to GLOAT. Remember, only a few short weeks ago, the position of our venerable rosh hamemshalah was very dire.

But still Dr. Sharon does it YET again!

Arik haAri

Despite this victory though, it is quite clear that haLiqud is imploding. The lunatic wing in the party is too strong to be kept at bay. No sooner was Netanyahu sent packing a few minutes ago than he announced that his "camp will win the next battle in the Likud primaries." Screw you, Netanyahu--you're not a Zionist nor are you a Jew. In the end he probably will seize leadership of the miflagah but that miflagah will then have to compete against a veritable Ari Yisrael, and they don't stand a chance in hell.

The good doctor ALWAYS put Israel before his own interests (unlike so many politikayim, particularly Bibi). And that is why he is indeed

Chamas & Iran

Iranian "president" Ahmadinejad delivered a most detestable diatribe to the UN a couple of days ago, which was reinforced today by something called the "foreign ministry spokesman." Both characters essentially gave the finger to the rest of the world and maintained they would pursue their nuclear ambitions regardless of what anyone says. They insist these endeavors are confined to the pursuit of the energetical nuclear value but one cannot but scoff at such claims. Why is Iran so secretive about the whole program and repeatedly thwarts efforts by the international community to supervise its progress in the field? Why does it constantly try to deflect attention away from its supposedly pacific nuclear adventures to Israel's supposedly militaristic employment of nuclear energy... - isn't that rather like mixing apples and pears: if its own program has no military value, then why does it talk about other countries' nuclear weapons in such context? Iran is up to no good and it's high time the world did something about it. Alternatively, we could always do a Daura on them.

Dr. Sharon has made it known that Israel would seek to passively hinder Palestinian elections if Chamas is allowed to participate in the same without disarming first. Now, much as I admire the venerable doctor and much as I abhor Chamas scum, we have to be logical about this. Israel is still administering an imposing amount of territory which the Palestinians want--and under international law are entitled to have--as their state. If Chamas were to disarm in such conditions, the Palestinians would lose the last bit of leverage they have. (This is not to say that Chamas' terrorist activities DO exert any pressure on Israel; it's primarily a matter of psychology and impressions.)

Speaking of terrorists, has anyone noticed their activities in Aza lately? All these putatively macho warriors prancing about in their ski-masks, toting their Kalashnyikovs and showing how big and strong they are by blowing up a concrete wall. And for the past 38 years they'd be cowering like the bunch of pendejos they are at every sight of a khayal and conducted "operations" against dangerous Zionists in discotheques and shopping malls. Risible. How the Palestinian people can buy their crap is beyond imagination.

And finally, a picture I came across depicting a street in London. You wouldn't want to meet THIS nasty piece of work in an alleyway after dark... - or anywhere anytime, for that matter:

Usually A7 is replete with what we shall charitably term taurine feces. Oftentimes it is quite unclear whether the commentators or official A7 contributors are the main provenance. But midai pa'am one comes across a heartwarming remark and I can't help but share with you this from a Richard in NY concerning Dr. Sharon's address to the UN:
"Any animal knows how to fight. But it takes great courage and character to make peace with an enemy. Today, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has shown the world that he is a true human being in every sense of the word. His greatest battles were not in war, but in peace. And once again, Sharon is coming up a winner. And why does he want peace with the Arabs? So that Jewish people in Israel can live normal lives without fear of terrorist attacks. Carrying a machinegun everyday and hating people in your heart is not normal. Now Sharon's life is a complete success. Shalom!"

Kol hakavod, Richard.

I'm feeling quite chirpy so have decided to post a few recent photos of myself. Enjoy... - or otherwise

Yours truly, a couple of days ago. Yes, that IS a beard.

On the terrace of a hotel in the Tunisian desert.

With my new best friend, Dudu the Camel. (Piece of advice: NEVER touch a camel unless there's running water and soap very nearby. I speak from experience here! )

Whaddaya know: me again, about two weeks ago.

For the first time this year I didn't shave for three weeks leading up to Tisha bAv and hence also for the first time ended up with a beard. I had to trim it significantly a few days following the memorial day but then let it grow again. I'll leave it be for another few weeks to let it get fuller and then I'll see whether I'll keep it or not.

And speaking of synagogs...

...this is the comment I sent to Arutz Sheva in response to their oh-so-outraged article detailing the destruction of batey kneset at the hands of the Palestinians:

"For weeks you at the INN were bitching about the Government's intention to demolish the shuls and insisted you preferred the Palestinians danced on the synagogs' rooftops and desecrated them themselves. Well now you have it so what are you kvetching about again?!? As much as it tears my heart to see our once holy places being raped by the Palestinians, we have only ourselves to blame... - actually, our rabid rabis and gullible ideologues like yourselves. We could easily have deprived them of this sick pleasure."

Needless to say, it didn't make it onto the A7 website.

The Day After...

So, the occupation is finished. ... - Well, the occupation of 5.79% of the disputed territories, anyway. Even if, however, we have withdrawn from only an exiguous proportion of the territories, the development is proportionately much more significant because it provides an insight into various facets of the Palestinian psyche like no other event has thus far. Primarily, now that they have a simulacrum of a state, what will have they done with it? And, just as importantly, now that they've HAD a simulacrum of a state for a few hours, what HAVE they done with it?

Fist of all, let us disabuse ourselves of a notion, ferociously propounded by Jew-haters who just have to find something to fault Israel for. (Paraphrasing:) The Palestinians do not really have a state in Aza because Israel continues to control the sea-waters, airspace and land crossings of the strip. While it is true that Israel's continued control of these territorial aspects is unfortunate, it is wishful thinking at best to insist that it has the potential to somehow negatively impact the Palestinians' ability to organize their state (economically, socially, societally, etc.). The vast majority of the Palestinians do not live in the air or the sea, nor do they depend on being able to conduct international travel with ease (certainly not to Egypt, which is far more hostile to the Palestinians than Israel). Fact of the matter is that the PA now has absolute control over Aza and its resources, plus international donors are lining up to endow it with countless €millions: there is no excuse not to make a success of it if there's a will to. Can the Palestinians extricate themselves from more than four decades of the war mentality--and the infinite marchings, rallying, chanting and sermonizing that go along with it--and turn their attention to building the economy and society of Aza?

Well, what have been the first three reported Palestinian acts immediately before and then following the exit of Tzahal from Aza?
(1) A qasam rocket is fired at S'derot;
(2) For who knows which time, Abu Mazen and his apparatchiks reiterate that a part of Aza (scilicet, the area around Erez and the moshav Nativ haAsara) is still occupied;
(3) Crowds of Palestinians incinerate countless synagogs in former settlements.

Ad 2, quoting verbatim from haAretz:
"The territorial claim is not just a public relations exercise. It has consequences: The Palestinians are refusing to discuss upgrading the Erez crossing on the grounds that it is located in occupied territory. Tomorrow, someone will shell Moshav Nativ Ha'asarah, which lies within the disputed area, and claim the action is part of a just war of liberation - "the Nativ Ha'asarah Intifada."

These are the facts as determined by Shaul Arieli, who helped draw up the maps for the Geneva Accord: The 1949 cease-fire line, according to the Rhodes agreement between Egypt and Israel, was different from the current border of the Gaza Strip. However, a territorial exchange agreement was signed a year after Rhodes. Israel received the area in the northern Gaza Strip, where Erez and Nativ Ha'asarah are located today, in exchange for a larger parcel in the eastern Strip (which on maps looks like a hump). This altered border remained in effect until 1967, and United Nations soldiers were deployed along it. It appeared in the maps that were part of the Oslo Accords in the 1990s, without any complaints from the Palestinians. It also appeared on the official Palestinian maps used in the Geneva Accord talks.

Now Abbas wants to return to the original 1949 boundary. He has ignored the fact that all of the peace agreements and UN decisions were based on the status that existed on the ground before the 1967 War and not on the Rhodes agreement. For him, the point is that he can show that the Israeli occupation in Gaza is not ending with the completion of the disengagement.
"

Very disappointing.

Mah zeh, b'nei Yisrael??

Before I start my today's rant, let me just finish the thought I had yesterday, viz, the ultra-orthodoxim (the only orthodoxy they exercise is that of fatuity) who a few days ago violently set on an innocent family toiling their field. This is what makes an already egregious crime manifold more infuriating: the person and family they assailed were Druze Arabs, i.e. one of the most loyal and valiant sections of Tzahal! By contrast, all of the attacking bums eschewed their military service by loitering in a yeshiva doing fuck-all while their peers were putting their lives on the line protecting the State (and, all too often, the ungrateful settlers' asses).

I got a few indignant ripostes to my suggesting the scum should've had their throats slit by those who rushed to the family's aid and managed to cut off some of the bastards' peyot. I'm accused of agitating for the killing of Jews. No, morons, I'm doing no such thing--I'm Jewish myself. Duh. I DO, however, view these excuses for humans as scum. They may be Jewish but they're scum. And Jewish scum is no purer or more odorous than goyishe scum. At the very least, they should've gotten beaten up real good.

Now, is it me or has there been a preponderance of inane utterances spouted off by various members of klal Yisrael as of lately? Netanyahu certainly takes the cake but Uzi Landau is close behind as is Limor Livnat together with a plethora of rabis. But the dubitable honor for making the most obtuse, vacuous and senseless remark goes without a doubt to none other than my (Sephardi) former chief rabi: Ovadia Yosef. In relation to the hurricane Katrina that devastated parts of the Mexico Gulf states (most notably Louisiana), this is what he had to proffer:

"There was a tsunami and there are terrible natural disasters, because there isn’t enough Torah study [...] black people reside there (in New Orleans). Blacks will study the Torah? (G-d said) let’s bring a tsunami and drown them."
"Hundreds of thousands remained homeless. Tens of thousands have been killed. All of this because they have no G-d."

If that wasn't nauseating enough, the "rabi" surely enough continued in like vein:
"Bush was behind the (expulsion of) [Aza]. He encouraged Sharon to expel [Aza ...] we had 15,000 people expelled here, and there 150,000 (were expelled). It was God’s retribution [...] God does not short-change anyone."
"He (Bush) perpetrated the expulsion. Now everyone is mad at him [...] this is his punishment for what he did to Gush Katif, and everyone else who did as he told them, their time will come, too"

Read the full article in Yedi'ot Aharonot.

In short, the guy's a

retarded asshole.

And speaking of retarded assholes, behold some of the scenes from haHitnatkut of last month. Let's hope that when our khayalim come next time to a Palestinian house with a view to expropriating it and the residents are less than euphoric about it, the former will provide them with bottles of water just as they did these slimeballs who thew acid, paint, oil and eggs all over the forces. Incidentally, have you noticed all the brouhaha infused with faux-piety about the fate of Aza batey kneset emanating from the "expulsion opponents"? As can be seen from those and many other pictures and videos though, they were only way too happy to desecrate the shuls themselves, what with all the graffiti, paint, etchings, physical violence, etc. The bare-faced hypocrisy of the datim never ceases to astonish me.

Oh, I got a request to post here a picture of mine, seeing as I'm apparently so liberal with depicting other people. Uhm, yeah, I'll sleep on it.

Flu's getting much better, todah!

I'm going through a terrible bout of influenza... - or a bout of terrible influenza, more like, so piccies is all you get today:

Three thoroughly repugnant individuals caught hanging posters of the Jewish terrorist Natan Zada(Y"ShU) in Shfaram. Unfortunately, they were apprehended by the Mishtarah. If only the locals had gotten their hands on these scumbags first...

Now something nicer: Miss England was elected a few days ago and she's an Afghan Muslim. Of course, this is little more than tokenism even if Chamasa IS more beautiful and intelligent than all the "indigenous" teabaggies put together (which she undoubtedly is) but still, a nice testimony:

Chamasa Kohistani

Not to be forgotten, the Englishers are over half a decade behind Israel, which selected our own Israeli Arab back in 1999:

OUTRAGE in haGalil!!

In yet another example of Jewish extremists' atrocities, dozens of Charedim violently assault an Israeli!! It seems they are no longer satisfied with abusing innocent Palestinians with almost absolute impunity; they've taken to assaulting Israeli citizens now, too.

To see how these morons honor Adoneinu, consult Settler Violence. (N.B. I in no way endorse the general nature or theme of the site in question.)

Fucking bastard settlers courageously "doing G-d's mission" in Chevron by throwing stones at Palestinians' houses

Here's an excerpt from Shovrim Shtiqah: a project by former khayalim aiming to elucidate their experiences from active service in the territories. Cited is a typical story from a khayal, and it's just the tip of the iceberg:

"That morning, a fairly big group arrived in Hebron, around 15 people or so, of Jews from France. They were all religious Jews, French Jews, they didn't really know Hebrew, and spoke half English, half Hebrew, and half French. They were in a good mood, really having a great time, and I spent my entire shift following this gang of Jews around and trying to keep them from destroying the town. In other words, this is what they were busy doing for hours. They just wandered around, picked up every stone they saw off the ground, and started throwing them in Arabs’ windows, and overturning whatever they came across. A gang of Jews from France simply came along, to the area we were responsible for, and did whatever they wanted. And there’s no horror story here… he didn’t catch some Arab and kill him or anything like that, but what bothered me about this story is that along came a gang of people from France, and I have no idea how in tune they are with what's going on here, and without… maybe someone told them that there’s a place in the world where you can just, I don't know… that a Jew can take all of his rage out on the Arab people, and simply do anything, do whatever he wants. To come to a Palestinian town, and do what ever he wants, and the soldiers will always be there to back him up. Because that was actually my job. I guess I could have tried to keep the rock from being thrown, something I can't do, of course. I couldn't run after them all the time, not successfully at least. But my real actual job was to protect them and make sure that nothing happened to them. And that’s how the job was also explained to us. Not to stop them. To try and stop them. But mostly to protect them."

And that's the kind of human garbage we waste so much on: from our safety in Israel and the diaspora, to our morals, to our reputation, to our money, to our unity, to our lives. Let us fervently hope that the next step of the disengagement is not far behind--that is the only way forward.

In this latest instance, supra, a few of the yeshiva fuckwits got their peiot harosh cut off. It's a damn shame the cut was not made continuously from one peiah to the other--preferably along the throat line.

Kol hakavod to Pakistan for having the courage to finally initiate official contact with Medinat Yisra'el. May it be the beginning of the establishment of relations between haAretz and the Muslim world. Muslims and Jews, after all, are brothers and sisters.
