A potpourri... - with a shtink most terrible

Shalom aleichem!
Goodness, so many things have accumulated and I've only been away a fortnight. Again, apologies to all who have written me; I will deal with all your e-mails in turn but it takes a lot of time. Your letter is very important to us.
OK, things I can remember off the top of my head. Well, first something that really incensed me: something called "sir" Mark Thatcher, the sonny of the well-known former Teabag prime minister, who had plotted to overthrow the government of Equatorial Guinea, struck a plea bargain with the South African prosecution to the effect that he'd plead guilty and in return get off by paying a fine (half a million dollars, to be sure--not that he'd had to work for a cent of that). Of course, the bastard hadn't conspired to stage a coup to help the downtrodden people of EG but rather to help install in power his buddies who'd aid him with his business interests in that oil-rich nation. Well, blow me. This spoiled fucking little sconehead attempts to topple the regime in a sovereign country with a group of "western" mercenaries in the most dastardly manner available, and he gets a deal and is back in mommy's arms in London. Some down-and-out schnook burgles a 7-11 and they throw his ass in jail for at least a year where he probably gets raped and abused. Of course, our "sir" hadn't spent ANY time in jail because his ill gotten gains had ensured he got bail at the outset. Whose sick fucking idea of justice is this? But what goes around comes around.
And another adrenaline-surging moment, courtesy again of the sconeheads. "Prince" Harry--who is third in line to the English "throne"--thought, insofar as an inbred dipshtick like he CAN think, it would be a real neat idea if he dressed up as an African SS agent and went capering around in public. This is the same nauseating little prick who was born with a silver spoon in his mouth (or ass, more likely) but rather than being the least bit grateful for it, he's been behaving like a hooligan ever since starting puberty. His escapades so far have included cheating on his college exam, assaulting a photographer and going on licentious drink binges among many others.
Of course he's just a dumb jerkoff and he probably didn't mean deliberate offense. Well, tough. This kind of comportment is unbecoming of any person over the age of majority who has anything resembling a brain in their head, never mind a dandy "prince" whose country isn't exactly well known for hospitality and tolerance toward Jews or anyone else. Indeed, Britain has treated Jews over the centuries in much the same way as the Nazis except that it never took it to the mass level as Harry's heroes did 65 years ago.
Now for an even more "out-of-this-world" piece of news. The outrages of the Catholic Church in relation to science are well known. We have everything from burning people for protesting against the church's view that the Earth was flat, to claiming life begins at conception as per a book which is replete with scientific errors, to insisting condoms do not help in preventing the spread of AIDS because they have holes in them which let sperm trickle through. Well, get ready for this--it just might take the biscuit. The government in Croatia, a central European country set to join the EU in three years' time, endeavored to legislate a new act concerning artificial insemination. Following a virulent campaign by the Catholic church that proposal has been shelved. The said campaign included the following claims--and remember, this is the twenty-first century and a first-world country we're talking about--: That infertility is CAUSED BY PROMISCUITY; That it should be treated by GOING TO CONFESSION; That artificially created children are "THINGS"; and That such children have been SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN to be much more likely to DEVELOP MENTAL DISORDERS and LEARNING DIFFICULTIES than "normal" children. You couldn't make this stuff up. Just one more example that when religion crosses the line of the private domain, it should get literally crushed back.
"Repeat a lie so many times and it becomes a 'truth'." We've known for a long while that Jew-haters the world over love to fabricate lies about us. It used to be the blood libel but now their odium is directed toward the State of Israel as well as continuing to fart about our supposed control of everything that has any importance on this planet and wider. Regardless of how involved you are in the Middle Eastern issue, I'm sure you'll have heard by now of many a tale of Israeli massacres, bloodthirstiness, expulsions, theft of land and property and all the remainder of it. One of the more recent such "massacres" didn't happen during the glorious Operation Defensive Shield about which I've written before. Putting aside various histerizing by the likes of Robert "I'm A Motherfucking Dumbass" Fisk--who has absolutely no connection with the Middle East except his hatred of Jews (he nevertheless keeps his post at a supposedly left-of-center paper in Britain)--there was actually one "documentary" which sought to depict the putative horrors the Jenin refugee camp residents underwent during the said operation. It was particularly interested in personalizing and individualizing the supposed suffering in the schmaltziest manner possible and with maximum propaganda effect. Well, guess what. It turns out the whole movie was a stream of blatant mendacities and most gut-wrenching of manipulations and distortions. It was also made for purely propaganda purposes. This is not my assessment but that of the movie's own director! Naturally, none of this will matter to those who have already condemned us. But it is yet another evidence to those who don't understand why we've simply stopped giving a shit about what the world thinks and how it sees us.
I've a couple of other things left I'll write about tomorrow.
