Usually A7 is replete with what we shall charitably term taurine feces. Oftentimes it is quite unclear whether the commentators or official A7 contributors are the main provenance. But midai pa'am one comes across a heartwarming remark and I can't help but share with you this from a Richard in NY concerning Dr. Sharon's address to the UN:
"Any animal knows how to fight. But it takes great courage and character to make peace with an enemy. Today, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has shown the world that he is a true human being in every sense of the word. His greatest battles were not in war, but in peace. And once again, Sharon is coming up a winner. And why does he want peace with the Arabs? So that Jewish people in Israel can live normal lives without fear of terrorist attacks. Carrying a machinegun everyday and hating people in your heart is not normal. Now Sharon's life is a complete success. Shalom!"

Kol hakavod, Richard.

I'm feeling quite chirpy so have decided to post a few recent photos of myself. Enjoy... - or otherwise

Yours truly, a couple of days ago. Yes, that IS a beard.

On the terrace of a hotel in the Tunisian desert.

With my new best friend, Dudu the Camel. (Piece of advice: NEVER touch a camel unless there's running water and soap very nearby. I speak from experience here! )

Whaddaya know: me again, about two weeks ago.

For the first time this year I didn't shave for three weeks leading up to Tisha bAv and hence also for the first time ended up with a beard. I had to trim it significantly a few days following the memorial day but then let it grow again. I'll leave it be for another few weeks to let it get fuller and then I'll see whether I'll keep it or not.

Shavua tov!
