CHANUKAH ALERT!!

Posted on: Monday, November 29, 2004
ב''ה

Shalom aleichem! The International Society for Sephardi Progress has issued an alert to Jews worldwide in the run-up to Chanukah.

As Chanukah approaches, ISFSP alerts Jews throughout the world to be cautious for targeted missionary activity.

>>> FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE <<<

Contact: pressroom @ isfsp.org

As Chanukah approaches, the International Society for Sephardic Progress would like to alert Jews throughout the world to be cautious for missionary activity, as missionaries tend to use this season to take advantage and proselytize to the Jewish community.

For decades a division of Xian missionaries have disguised themselves and their "Chanukah Parties" as something which are Jewish. They will dress like Jews and decorate their halls and churches with Jewish cultural items, all in an attempt to get Jews to come in to their dens where they can then proselytize them. To throw a curve to those Jews who should know to reject such obvious lies, this breed of missionary changes "Jesus" into ridiculous Hebrew sounding names. To the missionary, it is easier to lure the gullible by calling "Jesus" by Hebrew sounding names such as: Yeshua ben Miriam, Yahshua the Messiah, Rabbi Yeshua, etc.

Messianics typically act very pro-Israel and include an unusually high number of Jewish symbols such as magen David, haTorah, shofarim, kippot, mezuzot and Shabbat candles. They exploit the use of Hebrew, Ladino and Yidish languages to assure prospective converts that they are not renouncing Judaism by accepting "Jesus." Nonetheless, according to Jewish law and tradition, such an acceptance is indeed a renunciation of Judaism. Like the wolf that dresses up in sheep's clothing, the missionary of today now dresses himself up in the garb of a religious Jew, complete with black hat and beard to reach his prey. Messianics call their clergy rabbis rather than priests or ministers. They refer to Xian saints by Hebrew names. Thus, John is called Yochanan, Paul is called Sha'ul, etc. Many try to observe the Jewish dietary laws (kashrut) in a further effort to convince the unsuspecting.

Missionaries who call themselves "messianic Jews" or say they are "Jews for 'Jesus'" are nothing more than Christians spreading Protestant Christianity in disguise. Former Chief Ashkenazi Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi Lau and former Chief Sephardi Rabbi Bakshi-Doron declared, "There are Xian groups that call themselves 'Messianic Jews' whose faith is totally alien to the Jewish faith." They exist in every corner of the globe, highly financed and strategically targeting Jews for conversion. Upward of one billion dollars is spent annually to missionize the Jewish people. From the subways of New York to the beaches of Los Angeles and from St. Petersburg square in Russia to the Old City of Jerusalem, missionaries are in an active and ongoing campaign to convert Jews away from the religion of their forefathers. They come speaking English, Hebrew, Greek, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and all other world languages.

Their tactics have been criticized by mainstream Christian movements around the world, as well as severely criticized by Jewish organizations. To confront this epidemic in the Jewish community head on, Jewish parents have the responsibility to inoculate their children with knowledge; the children have the responsibility to listen and learn from their parents; and as Hannukah approaches, the Jewish leadership has the important role of providing education to those in need, and the vital role of warning their community.

The International Society for Sephardic Progress wishes Jews across the world to have a physically and spiritually safe happy Hannukah.

ENDS.

My first advice for those not well versed in Judaism is to avoid these creeps and/or tell them to beat it if you are approached. However, for those who may wish to tackle this Xian turd head on, they may find the following resource invaluable:

MESORA

Click on SEARCH and type in "christianity missionaries" (without the quotes) for a list of great articles. I found the following particularly useful:
o Response to a child's question on the differences between religions;
o The Flaws of Christianity;
o Biblical Refutations of "Jesus" as Messiah;
o Dialog With a Missionary;
o Judaism: Uncompromising;
o Xianity v. Judaism II;
o Xianity and Contradiction;
o "Jews" for "Jesus".

These are just a few. I suggest you delve deeper into the site. I have to clarify something though: the Mesora people are far too religious for my taste. If Judaism stipulated proselytizing by some chance, they would be no different in their arrogance and obduracy from the Xian missionary scum. So, I do not support Mesora's views but we must stick together against all enemies of Am Yisrael. And Xian missionaries are as pernicious enemies of Klal Yisrael as are those who think to "drive us into the sea."

Good luck!

Great News!!!

Oh my, just before I went to bed last night, I read an article in HaAretz. Guess what: a full 61 (SIXTY-ONE) per-cent. of Israelis support the disengagement plan. Even better news is that this figure remains the same even among the Liqudniks! Of the remaining 40%, almost three in four think only that the plan should be frozen following Arafat's(Y"ShU) death until a new Palestinian leadership is formed. This is excellent news and should give an additional morality boost to Dr. Sharon.

And now if you'll excuse me, I gotta scamper off to Arutz Sheva and do some gloating. ... Speaking of Arutz Sheva, if you want to read some hysterically fundamentalist comments from armchair generals and hate-mongers the world over (mostly from the US), then that's definitely the place to be.

Heyeh shalom!

OUTRAGE: Settlers Attack Tzahal and Palestinians

Posted on: Wednesday, November 17, 2004
ב''ה

{Settlers attack a Palestinian in Chevron while a khayal stands by idly}

HaAretz carried a lead story today about an outrageous event that took place in Sh'chem (Nablus) earlier this morning. As you may know, constant vigilante settler attacks on Palestinian olive pickers have necessitated Tzahal troops to be posted around olive groves so as to protect the peasants from such assaults. During these attacks, settlers (mostly crazed young men) would charge down from their hilltop settlements with sticks, stones and weapons. They would frighten the harvesters into scattering and beat up those they caught. They would then variously destroy the olive groves or steal the olives. This was outrageous in itself. How these by-and-large religious individuals could justify such flagrantly amoral and criminal comportment is altogether beyond me. Today the settlers turned on khayalim, too!

Well, enough is enough! It is high time Medinat Yisrael stopped providing support to these monsters. We must withdraw Tzahal from entire Yesha, save for areas of DIRECT security importance to the STATE OF ISRAEL itself. We should also confiscate all state-issued weapons from the settlers and cut off all funding to them. If they want to live in their Yesha, they should negotiate the terms of their stay with the Palestinians. It is bad enough we're wasting an absolute fortune to enable their stay on the land they consider divinely-ordained as theirs, at the same time that the Israeli economy has been stagnating (although it's back on track and waxing strong now). Young khayalim and shoterim are risking and losing their lives every single day for these ungrateful fanatics. And now THEY have the effrontery to attack them because they are prevented from engaging in yet another subhuman rampage.

Settlers, whatever understanding I may have had for you has steadily been eroded. The disengagement has to be carried out at the earliest possible stage. Frankly, I wouldn't mind personally clearing your asses from your dens of disgusting fanaticism.

Who's the Real Criminal Here? (And Blair's "morality")

Posted on: Tuesday, November 16, 2004
ב''ה

Hm... - Blair said that peace in the Middle East must now be the international community's "highest priority." And why is that, Blair? I mean, hey, I crave peace in the Middle East as much as the next least bit sensible person but I think areas where dozens, even hundreds, of people die daily thru war or hunger are SLIGHTLY more important than the Middle East, don't you? I suggest Blair may start with Iraq where his illegal aggression means dozens of people are killed DAILY by HIS OWN FORCES or by each other. Or there is Chechniya where Russian forces are still on a murderous/raping/pillaging rampage, for the eighth year running. Need one mention places like Sudan, Zimbabwe, Mauritania or Sierra Leone? But hey, this comes from a "man" who flagrantly lied about the reasons for illegally invading and destabilizing Iraq and who doesn't have the decency to even apologize for the "mistake." Yet again you've proved it, Blair: you're a schnook. And that's putting it very mildly.

One piece of news caught my eye last week (apart from Arafat's timely demise ). Reportedly, the movie industry will launch its own war (following in the footsteps of the music industry) on "pirates", that is to say, individuals who exchange movies online. I've been rather equanimous vis-a-vis all this hysteria about software, music and now movie "piracy" but this has really pissed me off now. Why?

These inane nabobs are thinking about nothing except short-term profit. They don't realize that this kind of tactic will blow in their face... - DOUBLY! First of all, the vast majority of people getting "illegal" software, downloading mp3s or exchanging movies do it because they cannot afford the "legitimate" thing, not because they're too lazy to take their ass to the local music store or because they are some type of "natural criminals." Therefore, if these individuals won't be able to get their stuff online "illegally", it certainly doesn't follow they'll buy it instead. Instead, the vast majority very probably will not. But that's just the short-term effect. The second thing--long-term scenario--is even worse; not just for the companies concerned but for the whole world in terms of culture, language and computer literacy.

Firstly, people who won't be able to afford eg. the Windows OS or MS Office and who won't be able to obtain "pirate" copies, will simply switch to Linux and Open Office in lieu. Those who won't be able to pay EUR 25 for a movie DVD will simply wait for it to be released and rent it. Those who won't want to pay EUR 15 for a CD will find other ways to satisfy their musical cravings: from switching to an "open source" artist, to recording the song when it's played on TV, to swapping CDs with their friends. The possibilities are endless. What's the problem here though? Well, if users get accustomed to Open Office from the early stages of their computing experience, then they will be very unlikely to want to switch to MS Office when they WILL be able to afford to buy it. There goes Microsoft's revenue! Then, what's the best form of advertizing? Why, the word of mouth. And what do you think people who were forced to use Open Office are going to recommend to their family, friends, companies, etc? Not MS Office, that's for sure. That's more revenue lost. Actually, *foregone* as opposed to lost. Of course, it COULD happen that people in less developed societies end up using neither program on a private basis at all which is, naturally, going to negatively impact on their level of computer literacy. Not good. With music and movies it's not IT dexterity that will suffer but the American/"western" culture whose spread would be compromised. While that may sound like a salutary prospect, it actually has a potential to seriously impede the process of globalization. To me, being a humanist, that would not be an advantageous turn of events.

Personally, even though I can afford it, I would not IN A MILLION YEARS spend EUR 150/- on MS Office (Basic) to write up a few pages of text, shake around some spreadsheets or knock up a presentation. EUR 150/- is about two weeks' pay for an average European student with a part-time job. In other parts of the world, an average person has to work half a year to earn that much. And MS expects such people to part with that obscene amount of money for a fancy text editor, spreadsheets and a presentations creator?! Get real!! ... Or take a CD. Spend two hours' wages for a dozen songs of which maybe three are any good which you'll listen to for a couple of months and then move on to something new. How about a movie DVD? Three hours' worth of salary for a two hour movie which you'll watch a couple of times and then relegate it to a shelf and watch it again maybe once in six months if even that. Risible. If these bullies think that victimizing several thousand people--who are, by and large, students who make no profit from their "piracy"--will save or increase their profits, then they're dreaming. The bottom line is: the software companies, record companies and movie companies who charge ten times the real worth for their products are the real criminals, not people trying to defend themselves from this daylight and legal robbery.

Shalom aleichem!

Legacy of Yasser Arafat

Posted on: Friday, November 12, 2004
ב''ה

Shalom, shalom, shalom!! Well, whaddaya know: a day after I write about the proliferation in the Arab world of conspiracy theories to the effect that someone (read: Israel) poisoned Arafat, out comes crawling all the shit of the world screaming that we did precisely that. Told ya: give it a few months and this mendacity will join all the other myths that Israel-haters like to reel off at every conceivable opportunity in order to shmear Israel. Oh well.

Anyway, as promised yesterday, here is a pruned timeline delineating Arafat's many "achievements":

As this true scum is buried, Yaser Arafat's "legacy" currently occupies much media attention and hype. We now see many historical briefs and timelines that omit, whitewash or otherwise sanitize his decades-long involvement in unspeakably brutal terror. While they note that Arafat led Fatach and the PLO, the terrorist acts committed by these groups are often ignored.

Groups under Arafat's direct or indirect command--including Fatach, Black September, Tanzim and the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade--indisputably bear ultimate responsibility for hundreds of bombings, hijackings, assassinations and other monstrous attacks, including the 1972 murder of 11 of Israel's Olympic athletes in Munich, the 1973 murder of the American ambassador to Sudan, Cleo Noel, and the 1985 hijacking of the Achille Lauro cruiseliner (resulting in the murder of wheelchair-bound Leon Klinghoffer (HY"D), who was savagely shot and dumped overboard in a particularly vile display of terrorist Arab brutality).

Typical timelines or synopses of Arafat's appalling life--such as this one in Newsday.com--say something along these lines: "in 2001 - Blamed for not controlling terrorist attacks on Israel by Hamas, other radicals." As is characteristic of many of the outrageously flawed timelines, it implies only that Arafat failed to control terror, not that he was actively involved in organizing, funding and supporting it.

Where is mention of his decades-long involvement in activities which can only be described as terroristic (and remember, he chose terror before ever even trying diplomacy or dialog), his repeatedly declared goal of destroying Israel, and his siphoning of hundreds of millions of dollars from money donated to help the Palestinian people that went instead into his own private accounts? Where is one reminded of Arafat's blood-soaked history and his many missed opportunities to bring peace and a better life to the Palestinian people?

If you truly seek fair, objective, balanced and honest reporting on the Mideast, you dare not refer to Arafat as a "statesman," "freedom fighter," "revolutionary," "visionary" or any number of other ridiculous and nauseating euphemisms. Such encomiums are blatant, shameless lies and about as apposite to Arafat as they would be to Osama bin Laden or Mullah Omar.

Perhaps "lies" is among the best words to describe this utterly abhorrent creature. Even the late Romanian dictator Causescu, a long-time friend and ally of Arafat, once stated to the effect that Arafat could not feel good about himself if he did not lie about something every day. He is (oops... it seems that he WAS) a consummate liar, and any media outlet praising him is consummately lying.

Below is a far more accurate and honest "timeline" for the bloodthirsty, murdering and thieving ghoul named Yaser Arafat. No freedom-loving, fair-minded person should mourn the long-overdue passing of this modern-day Amalekite who, together with his equally ghoulish thugs, spent decades striving to finish the "final solution" that Hitler started.

So, key dates in the life of Yaser "Father of Modern Terrorism" Arafat:

Aug 4, 1929: Arafat born in Cairo. Muhammad Abdel Rahman Abdel Rauf al-Qudwa al-Husseini is fifth child of prosperous merchant, Abdel Raouf al-Qudwa al-Husseini. Arafat will later try to claim he was an autochthonous Palestinian but this attempt to deceive was quickly shown up when his birth records were found in--as said--Cairo, Egypt.

1933: Arafat's mother dies. He and his infant brother are sent to live with uncle in Jerusalem.

1948: Arafat runs arms to Cisjordan.

Late 1950s: Arafat co-founds Fatach, the "Movement for the National Liberation of Palestine."

Jan. 1, 1965: Fatach's first attempted attack in Israel fails. They had attempted to bomb the National Water Carrier.

July 5, 1965: A Fatach cell planted explosives at Mitzpe Massua, near Beit Guvrin; and on the railroad tracks to Jerusalem near Kafr Battir.

1965-1967: Numerous Fatach bomb attacks target Israeli villages, water pipes, railroads. Homes are destroyed and Israelis are killed.

July 1968: Fatach joins and becomes the dominant member of the PLO, an umbrella organization of Palestinian terrorist groups.

Feb. 4, 1969: Arafat appointed Chairman of the Executive Committee of the PLO. It is widespread belief that he reached this position thru bribery and backstabbing, rather than on merit.

Feb. 21, 1970: SwissAir flight 330, bound for Tel Aviv, bombed by PLO-group PFLP in mid-flight, killing 47. Palestinian terrorists headed by Arafat literally invented airplane hijackings.

Sept. 6, 1970: TWA, Pan-Am, and BOAC airplanes hijacked by PLO terrorists. 400 passenger endured hours of untold terror, believing they were going to die.

September 1970: After PLO's creating a state within a state and the resultant months of boiling tension, Arafat and king Husain of Jordan sign a truce. The ink has not yet dried when Arafat's PLO hijacks two further airplanes, KLM and Pan-Am, and has them land in Aman. The PLO keeps agitating the Hashemite regime to the point of civil war. Syrian army crosses the border to aid the Palestinians in trying to overthrow king Husain's administration. Jordan somehow defends itself against odds, kills thousands of Palestinian civilians and terrorists in the process and drives them out of the Kingdom. Arafat and posse flee to Lebanon where they do the exact same thing as in Jordan, which ultimately leads to Israel's invasion of Lebanon.

Sept. 5, 1972: Eleven Israeli athletes brutally murdered at the Munich Olympics by PLO-affiliated terrorists.

March 1, 1973: Palestinian terrorists take over Saudi embassy in Khartoum. The next day two Americans (including the United States' ambassador to Sudan, Cleo Noel) and a Belgian are shot and killed. James J. Welsh, an analyst for the National Security Agency from 1969 through 1974, charges Arafat with direct complicity in these murders.

April 11, 1974: Terrorists sneak into an apartment building in northern Israel and immediately kill eighteen people, half of them children.

May 15, 1974: PLO terrorists infiltrate an Israeli school in Ma'alot and massacre 26 children, wound a further sixty-six.

June 9, 1974 : Palestinian National Council adopts "Phased Plan," which calls for the establishment of a Palestinian state on any territory evacuated by Israel, to be used as a base of operations for destroying the whole of Israel. The PLO reaffirms its rejection of UN Security Council Resolution 242, which calls for a "just and lasting peace" and the "right to live in peace within secure and recognized boundaries free from threats or acts of force."

Nov. 13, 1974: Arafat, wearing a gun, addresses UN General Assembly. Only half a year after the two said massacres in Kiryat Shmonah and Ma'alot and many others, the General Assembly greets Arafat with a standing ovation.

1982: Having created a terrorist mini-state in Lebanon, destabilizing that nation as well after Jordan, PLO is expelled after Israel responds to incessant PLO missile attacks against northern Israeli communities. Arafat relocates to Tunis.

Oct. 7, 1985: Italian cruiseliner Achille Lauro is hijacked by Palestinian terrorists. Wheelchair-bound elderly man, Leon Klinghoffer (HY"D), is shot and thrown overboard. Intelligence reports note that instructions originated from Arafat's headquarters in Tunis.

Dec. 12, 1988: Arafat claims to accept Israel's right to exist.

Sept. 1993: Handshake with Israeli Prime Minister Rabin, inaugurating the Oslo Accords. Arafat pledges to stop incitement and terror against and to foster co-existence with Israel.

Throughout the years of negotiations, aside from passing, token efforts, Arafat does nothing to stop Hamas, PFLP, and Islamic Jihad from carrying out thousands of terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians. With Arafat's encouragement and financial support, groups directly under Arafat's command, such as the Tanzim and Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, also carry out terror attacks.

Oct. 21, 1996: Speaking at a rally near Bethlehem, Arafat says: "We know only one word: jihad. Jihad, jihad, jihad. Whoever does not like it can drink from the Dead Sea or from the Sea of Gaza."

April 16, 1998: In a statement published in the official Palestinian Authority newspaper Al-Hayat al-Jadeeda, Arafat is quoted: "O, my dear ones on the occupied lands, relatives and friends throughout Palestine and the diaspora, my colleagues in struggle and in arms, my colleagues in struggle and in jihad...Intensify the revolution and the blessed intifada...We must burn the ground under the feet of the invaders." (Note the date: five years AFTER pledging to curtail terror and end incitement, and two years AFTER Tzahal's withdrawal from PA territories, in accordance with the Oslo Accords.)

July 2000: Arafat rejects peace settlement offered by Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, which would have led to a Palestinian state. He does not offer a counterproposal or continue with negotiations in any way.

Sept 2000: New "intifada" is launched. Arafat continues to incite, support and fund terrorism. The pretext is the stroll of Ariel Sharon--a retired major-general and politician--on Judaism's holiest site: the Temple Mount.

Below are some of the attacks since Sept 2000 perpetrated by groups under Arafat's command:
